Original engine bay configuration for the 1972 GMC Sierra 1/2 ton
Hello! I am a newbie to these forums, so please forgive the neanderthal tendencies! I want to restore my old '72 GMC Sierra back to original condition. Does anyone have any photos of how the engine bay is suppossed to look like if you have a 350 cid motor? If not, where can I find this info? Thanks for any help you guys can offer. |

if you want to go back to exactly like original
most of the venders on here have quality reprints available of factory service manuals and factory assembly manuals with loads of info to help in that task

Re: Original engine bay configuration for the 1972 GMC Sierra 1/2 ton
Here's one I saved a couple of pictures of, that shows a 72 Chevy with a very nicely restored 350 engine compartment, that I would bet looks pretty close to how it left the factory. This truck was said to have 57,000 original miles, so a lot of it was probably just "cleaned up". If you can make yours look like THIS - you'll be OK !!! GOOD LUCK !!!

Looks great Harold! Did you convert to R-134 on your BB?

Yes, not too happy with it, it was much cooler with the 12 but at the time the price for 12 was out the roof.
