I SMOKED a Boxter Yesteday!!!
Yes that is right, I SMOKED a Boxter Yesterday light to light. He challenged me and I looked over at my brother who was sitting in the truck with me and threw it in first and hit it when the light changed. I got em by two lengths. Not bad for my 4000lb truck with 500 hp huh.

I had a truck whip my old Porsche from light to light as well. Also had a Corvette beat me up to 140.
The truck did real well till we came upon a turn~~~~. The corvette had only the driver and I had a passenger so I gave him a 250 lb advantage~~~but then at 140, I shifted gears and lost him around 160. My buddy is still cleaning his shorts!!!! Porsche 928S4 with 4 cam shafts, 32 valves, two distributors, top end from the showroom floor of 170 but when chipped-----about 190. And a guarantee of $600. service bills every couple of months---and oh yea, that when I had a job. |

There is no way I could have beaten him on the highway, but all the torque from that stroker really gets the truck movin fast.

Is that a Cuban cigar?
I have always liked Porsche, but never could afford one....except for the '53 Coupe that I could have bought for $300, in '70. It had a 40-horse VW engine in it....better than the stock engine. Live and learn....
So, not being able to afford a Porsche, makes beating one, good. Oh, when I had my VW, back in '71, a new Super Beetle with EMPI extractor, EMPI wheels, etc., I was never at a loss for a race with a full-size vehicle at a traffic light. Why did people always want to race a VW? I beat most of them.

I say to Boxsters!! Boxsters remind me of the poor man's Porsche, if that makes any sense. Maybe I'm sick of the amount I see here, and the attitude of, I'm too good for you. Driving around in a $40,000 car doesn't make you THAT bad! You're not ALL THAT in a Boxster! LMAO! I reserve that title (ALL THAT) to folks who sweat and bleed, building their rides, and you can tell they enjoy the vehicle.
Now, if we're talking 911 Turbos, I'm interested.
