the 1 on top it's in fair driver shape needs sand blasted & it has a small rust hole in each corner outer side about 1/4 inch each hole $120.00 shipped.

Do you know what year this is off of? Is there a difference in the size of the GMC letters like there is on the fleetside tailgates?

JimKshortstep4x4 i got it with some other 67 72 parts. i am not sure about size of letters on drifferent years. i think tailgate will fit early 60's to late 80's.

Thanks for retrieving the post!

I am looking for a tailgate for a future project. I know on the fleetside GMC tailgates there is a difference in the letter size and I am interested in a tailgate that is right for a 72. I believe they are all the same but I don't know for sure.

Do you have any idea what caused the small rust holes. Since I am in Michigan it seems strangge to see where the rust holes are as most tailgates that I have seen don't rust in those spots.
