Overhaulin' Doin' A 71

Right now on HD TV is the repeat of Overhaulin doin an orange 71. Looks like a Camper Special. I'm on the east coast so there might be a time zone issue if you wanna watch it and your in another time zone.

Its HD Theatre. Discovery Channel in HD. They always have car shows on like Rides, Whats My Car Worth, Mecum Auto Auctions, Wheeler Dealer. That channel if it helps.

Re: Overhaulin' Doin' A 71

Pretty nice lookin truck in the end. I just wish I had an unlimited budget, 45 of my closest specialist friends and all my trades pacing outside their bay doors lookin for me!! Great, now Inside West Coast Customs is on! What is it now? A blingy Lunch Wagon? A hyped up RV or maybe a chrome car. Funny how diverse the hot rod community is.

Re: Overhaulin' Doin' A 71

Unfortunately, Mr Foose doesn't know what a budget is. I'm sure the show has met is demise. I can't watch a complete episode of Car Warriors. I can't get into Chop, Cut Rebuild and some of the other shows kill me. They seem to be infomercials for parts. David Stacey giggles waaay too much. The Power Block stuff is ok. I like Extreme 4x4 for the fabrication and Muscle Car for the ingenuity. Most car shows make me cringe. Remember Gone in 60? "Seems a little lean on the left bank". Really? Forget any Fast and Furious!

I can agree with you on these shows, im starting to not like TRUCKS. They did a 65or 66 chevy truck, showed about 3 episodes, then the finish product. Project Rolling Thunder is about 11 shows now. Maybe its me, but im so not interested.
I understand it show be about all trucks, but these guys seem to be into more modern trucks than classics. JMO

Re: Overhaulin' Doin' A 71

Project Rollin Blunder seemed to be cool in the beginning but they keep upgrading it and then torch that stuff off to upgrade it somemore!! If you did that how long would it take you to build a truck? How much would you have invested?

I can only hope he signs on and tells us that he still has Herb's truck unlike most Overhaulin' vehicles that were supposed to change peoples lifes then end up on eBay.

I'm partial to short beds, but that is a really nice truck. It was also good to see the guys from ECE getting some air time.

call me crazy, but he doesn't seem to happy with the truck when he first sees it. now he says all the right words... like its beautiful and all but... his body language says differently. also at the end when he chuckles to the cop and says not quite what he had planned for it.

i think the truck is amazing!! thanks for posting the video BMERDOC

Yeah, I saw what you saw Primetime. Probably wasn't his cup o' tea. Thats what happens when you give you truck to someone with their own freedom of expression. Oh well, he has a tidy 401k!

Yeah, I noticed that too. I think he was thinking more of a stock rebuild, the way Herb might of wanted it.
