New exhaust
I finally changed out my old leaky exhaust system for a new system. This time, though, I had an X-pipe installed and changed from the Flowmaster Super 40's to Magnaflow mufflers. The sound difference is amazing. It's ALOT quieter now with the Mags, but almost too quiet in a way. I had it done Saturday morning, but forgot my camera. I got some pics last night while changing my oil, and finally got them uploaded.
I'll try to get a sound clip of it soon.

Re: New exhaust
$385+tax. Of course at 9.5% tax rate, the total was $409.

Re: New exhaust
Another post on here about exhaust pipes. Yours terminate in a way that I like....clean.
I'd bet that the X-pipe did more to quieten it down than changing mufflers. I'm thinking that the X divides the exhaust pulses and allows them to go down both mufflers. I'd bet you could almost get by with half as much muffler, meaning physically halved....i.e., shorter-bodied....racecar style.

Re: New exhaust
Hey Matt....That looks nice
Are you running full length headers?? Also, was that price including all materials and labor? Any side shots once it on the ground to see how tucked up it is??.....also, any specs on your wood block setup?

Yes, I'm running full length headers. I'll get some side shots maybe this evening. The headers still hang low, but everything else tucks up pretty high. You can't see the X-pipe at all from the side. The pipes come off the headers, disappear into the chassis, then come back down to go under the crossmember. You don't see any more pipe until the tips.

Nice exhaust! I have about the exact same setup, but I went with 3" and it dumps over the rear and off to the side a bit .Nice, clean setup!!

Re: New exhaust
OK here's some side shots, as requested. Sound files to come later today.
You don't see anything poking out from behind.

Re: New exhaust
Those of you wanting sounds will have to wait. For some reason, I can't get them uploaded. The vids get halfway loaded, then stop. Then, my browser freezes if I try to change anything. I don't know what's going on.
