1971 Door panel & arm rests

I would like some opinions on a good place to purshase new good fitting ,color matching door panels and arm rests for a 1971 Chevy C-10 .
I know of no one that has bought new ,only used.

If you have had problems with a certain suppliers panels or arm rests I'd appreciate a heads up on what problems you have had ..and if its a thumbs up ,,I'd like to know that also ..

I didnt find any used on the parts forum but will entertain it if some one has like new panels and rests..

Are you looking for deluxe panels or the standard panels?

Re: 1971 Door panel & arm rests

I would not recommend buying them from Ecklers. My door panels look good now, but the fit was terrible and took more modifications than they should have. The arm rest had to be returned the second set they sent was worse than the first, ended up getting a refund. They did have good customer service though...

Talk to Frank (Pickmup) or Wes (Classic Heartbeat). I know skins are made to recover your panels.

Another thing to remember is that you may still have (very slight) color differences. The materials are a little different (Dye lots are different) and the colors just don't seem to be a perfect match.I am somewhat color blind and don't notice it when installed though some people claim to.I doubt the tech in the 60's made for a perfect match either.I think a custom upholsterer could match but I doubt it would look like an exact factory match.
