well,im kinda confused,,,,go look at your radiator,,you should have 2 lines going into the side or the bottom {not sure} of your radiator, thats the tranny cooler tank, its part of your radiator,,,,,,,,,if there not hooked up,ya youll blow tranny fluid all over th place.....you might have an external cooler, itll look like a small radiator,,in front of big radiator

Where do i mount it in front of the radiator ? How does it keep it cool ? Would it be better to run to the radiator ? or get external

your rambling,,,,,your initial question was that the truck you want to buy & drive home doesnt have the transmission lines hooked up!!!,if the transmission lines on "HIS" truck "ARE NOT" hooked up,,,,,NO, you cant drive it ,youll squirt fluid all over the place,

an after market tranny cooler would be better, being that only tranny fluid would be running through it,unlike a factory tranny cooler that is incorporated INSIDE your radiator in a seperate tank,,,,,,,,you can mount it anywhere in the front of the truck that you can get air thru it,,,,,try not to block the radiator..jeff

heres a pic
the coolers are roughly 1/4 the size of a radiator theres plenty of room in between the front grill and radiator to mount it.....

I have used the B&M tranny cooler on previous vehicles and they work much better than the stock cooler. I plan to use it on my current 69 when I put in my 350 auto.
