what is the cheapest way to eliminate vapor lock? ive been told a 2 inch spacer should do the trick. ive got a 454 with custom radiator. never had a promblem before, but it did happen. thanks for the help.

Electric fuel pump installed as close to the tank as possible.

The cheapest way? Take old style wooded clothes pins and clip them on your fuel line between the pump and carb. 4 or 5 of them if possible.
Old school remedy that really works. No joke.
The wood dissipates the heat and stops vapor lock.

Are you getting vapor lock in the carburetor, or somewhere along your fuel delivery line? Yes, if fuel is boiling in the carburetor, a phenolic spacer will help. If the vapor lock issues is somewhere along your fuel line, you'll have to identify where the hot spot is and either reroute your line, install a heatshield to block the heat, or a heat sink to dissipate the heat.
