Post time for new tires

1989 GMC S-15. Originally it had P205/75r14 and I switched to P225/70r14 for the last two sets. Time again for tires. Can I go wider (same size all around) without rubbing?

What size is popular with all of you?

Thanks

14" rims and 2WD

My brother has 255/50/16's on the rear and 245/50/16's on the front of his 98 GMC Sononma. The 255's will fit the front, he just hasn't had to replace them yet. There really isn't enough room to go much wider than that. If you are going to stay with the 14's then you could easily go with 245/60's. That's what we have on our Nissan and there is plenty of room, plus looks tougher than the original pizza cutters.

Thanks for the info. I thought it appropriate that you would ask if I planned to keep the 14" rims. As part trucks are becoming more available (and cheaper) I have beend considering picking up one for the rims and stuff. Thanks again.

I've got some 15" by 8.5" Enkei's that've never been mounted. I can try to find a picture of them if your interested. Was going to get an S-10 but never did after I bought the wheels.

thanks for the offer mellow yellow but I am confident I can find what I need locally. Rims (and tires) would probably be cost prohibitive to ship to Ohio.
