FOLLOWUP: '72 Suburban Tailgate Weatherstrip (! Now w/ PICS !)

Hi guys,

Well after your last round of suggestions, I called Wes @ Classic Heartbeat and ordered the upper and lower tailgate weatherstrip.

I tried describing the "bumpers" to Wes, and he was bewildered....(maybe it was my descriptions!:p ) so I decided to post up a couple of pics to show you what I'm trying to locate.

This picture shows the 4 positions (circled in RED) where these bumpers are installed....they are a thin strip of flat rubber with a bumper knob on one end.

Closeup of bumper:

Obviously, it's not supposed to be green....(overspray) but you should get the idea.....

Does anyone recognize these bumpers, and more importantly......does anyone know of a source for a reproduction set????

Thanks, yet again!!

The ones in red are covering the slots where the hinges would go if You had barn doors.

That's right!

I didn't think of that..... all the screw access holes are plugged and those bumpers cover the slotted hinge holes.

So...... do YOU know where I can find the replacement parts???

....still looking
