the LSX 376/454 motors look pretty cool...just not keen on the plastic looking intakes on these motors

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmembers & 22's on my 77 Ebay truck
Well, good to see you are still working on this truck to be work of art! It seems everyone has an opinion on which motor should work best but I have to say that I don't think you can go wrong with either choice... I mean...it's an old truck so old school can't be wrong!?!? and on the other side, we are just starting to see 73-87 c-10 with these LS engines so you'd be one of the cool kid with the new toy!! But if I had to tell my idea, I'd say that a LSx 454 would do it for me!!!

Seriously these Hogan intakes are ridiculous. Pure work of art.

Ya they are crazy nice, I think one of those would look killer on his truck. Hell I thought about switching my 454 over to fuel injection just to run one of these intakes.

I like the look of this one but the 12,000 price tag is ridiculous.

Any updates on this. I just sat here for 2 hours going through this entire thread. Awesome truck in every way. I just bought a 1985 GMC crew cab Sierra Classic 2500 that I hope to lay down with some Porterbuilt hardware.
