Best Way To Refinish This Dash Bezel

I'm going to disassemble the instrument cluster, but I don't know what to do with the exterior of the bezel.

Just buy a new bezel. Several vendors have them and the price is worth it once you get it installed. One of the best bang for the buck items out there.

That's what I would do. Try a red scotch bright to scuff it and some spray paint. make sure you clean it good after scuffing it to ensure good paint adhesion.

You will NEVER get it to look as nice as a new one. And at $35, I wouldn't waste any time trying.

Re: Best Way To Refinish This Dash Bezel

I must agree on getting the new bezel.

They're cheap enough, and looks like a million bucks when done. The "chrome" around the gauge circles really makes it pop. I went with a new bezel, and cleaned up the plastic lens with some "scratch off" wax. Then painted the indicator needles with Testors Red Enamel and a very small hobby brush. Came out great!
