motorcycle hauler
hey guys i was wondering if anyone has converted their lwb into a flatbed or permanent motorcycle hauler? i still want a swb eventually, but with my lwb i'm thinking of removing the bed sides and just leaving the wood flooring. also the stance would be slamed. i'm thing without the bedsides it won't look so huge any longer. maybe a set of those Boss338's that everyone here is grabbing up. what do you think? i need a trailer anyway for my 08 Hayabusa. i figure i'm killing two birds with one stone.

Heres my bike hauler. Can get 3 full size dressers up there. Usually just haul my dirtbikes or my Harley up there though.
I would like to get one of those HaulMasters bike systems to mount on the bed to load my harley.

I use mine to haul a VTX 1800C. I mounted 2 I-bolts in the bed with a backer plate on the bottom side of the bed. Just in front of the fender wells and out so I can still haul plywood when I need to. I use soft ties on the handle bars and then ratchet straps to the I-bolts. This held my 800 lb bike in when my travel trailer jackknifed me. So its strong.

Its a long bed. I would like to run airbags on it but its about a year off before I can afford to do much to the truck. I put a vintage air ac in it last fall so I could handle these Texas summers in it.

Primetime, 5.3 and 4l60e, stock brakes, tranny cooler. Works good. Need to back up to loading dock to unload bike though. Its tall in the rear.

Saw car hualer that would work well for this.It was a tandem axle lowboy car hauler trailer,mated to a Toronado front axle with a square body cab and front clip.Sat low for easy loading,had built in ramp storage.and was a cool truck.IIRC it even had airbags in the rear to lower it for loading.
