Glove Box Option Sheet

Well I've seen a post before on who has the least optioned truck. I was curious as to who has the truck loaded wtih the most options. I'll start it out with my 68 3/4 ton 50th anniversary.

When I bought my truck, the previous owner had removed it, so I have no idea what mine originally came with for options. He did tell me it was pieced together from about 5 trucks though, so if you add up all the options between those trucks, I'd probably have the most .

Not to fuss, too much, but can you get them focused better before you post them? It's hard to read some of them.

Wes your right everything is considered an option. The passenger seat and the fiberglass top on a Blazer was an option. I have a farily ordinary Custom and I still have about twenty options.

What's that "Special Paint" option on JQ-72's list?

Here's mine. Not much that unusual except CST, Paint stripe and spare tire carrier.

My option sheet is barely readable so I retyped everything into a pre-fabbed excel template.

My truck has 2 horns in it, but it looks like only one is hooked up. I figured it was something that the PO put in but never got to work right, so left one unhooked.

Jay, dual horn is exactly that, I have 2 horns (yes, I am the devil, bwahahahaha). Each one is a different note and they are in tune with each other. I don't know what notes but I'd like to install a third horn to make a full chord.

somebody on this board must have cruise control. maybe not. in the last classic trucks mag i bought, they listed really rare factory options on these trucks. cruise control was one of the rarest. does anyone here have it?

OMG!!!!!!! Let's Celebrate! I may have just found my first option!!!! A dual horn!!!

My truck didnt have the options sheet in her when I bought it, so it is impossible to tell if she ever had any options. And from the looks of the truck, she had very few options. No power steering, no power brakes, a straight-six engine (that blew up after i bought it), no radio, etc, etc

But, I *think* I just may have found my FIRST OPTION! woohooo! I always wondered why I had two horns under the hood. I thought maybe one of the engineers who designed these trucks decided one horn was too wimpy or somethin, so they added a second one. But, apparently not! Cool! It was an option! AWESOME!

Thanks a heap guys! You made my day!

Same here...kinda. Mine isnt even a Custom, its just a basic 3/4 ton 4x4 work truck, and it has 18 options. Only oddities are paint stripe (which isnt there any more), tow hooks (which arent there any more ), and cab clearance lights. I also have power brakes that arent listed as an option. Speaking of the horn, I need to get a new one for my truck. I think the single note horn i has now sounds too wimpy.

well, dont think that upgrading to a dual horn will do anything for ya (if thats what i indeed have) --- because my dual horn still sounds pretty wimpy!

Dale,

I'm with you on this! In fact, just before I scrolled down to your post, I wondered aloud if I would see any of these service parts listings with factory cruise control.

Recently, I think I saw a '67-'72 with factory cruise for sale on eBay. I couldn't believe my eyes! I was so impressed I printed off the page and stashed it away. And earlier on eBay, I saw the next best thing...a genuine GM dealer install Chevy Cruise control for '67-'72 model year trucks still in its original box with instructions!

The truth is, it appears to me that factory cruise control didn't show up on full size GM trucks with any frequency until the 1976 model year! Up until last week, in fact, I had never personally observed a pre-'76 Chevy or GMC pickup with cruise control "in the flesh". And now, just last week I found a 1975 Chevy Silverado C10 with 454 and factory cruise control sitting in a wrecking yard! I was excited about THAT discovery, and that wasn't even a pre-'73 vehicle!

Anyway, great posts!

Ken
