Newbie to the forum and have some questions
Hey everyone. Im from San Diego, CA and just bought a running 67 longbed 3/4T with a straight 6 4 speed manual with a spare motor for $700. I have a lot of plans for it as I helped my Dad restore/build a 59 apache half ton when I was growing up.... First and foremost that I havent yet seen any info on is will the stock motor perchs for a L6 work with differnt motor mounts for a small block swap? Second is disc brake conversion.... can it be done on a cheap budget without special fabrication? Any information would be helpful and I would appreciate it.... If anyone is semi-local and would like a used L^ with stand for cheap let me know.... Thank you

Re: Newbie to the forum and have some questions
Welcome the best forum on these old trucks.
The cheapest way to do the disc brake conversion I have found is to find a '71 and up donor. Switch out the whole front cradle with the front suspension. This is not that hard to do with the front clip and engine removed.
