This is not the way this board was setup to operate and if this is the way you do your dealings then I am glad I found out now. You just skipped over three board members with no response and two that have been here for a long time. What happened to no pm sales. This is a very poorly held transaction you just made. Good lesson for me.

I was pm'd by Don about them but I said I wanted to give the 2 guys in front of me first shot, then I guess he must of pm'd Jonathan. I had this happen to me on a set of tow hooks, not by this seller but another and lost the purchase because he jumped to the next guy through PM since I wanted pics of them. I think board rules is "I'll take it" rule, that way the seller isn't getting the run around is what they say, but I don't use it in my threads, I go with the order guys ask questions, then once I answer I give them 24 hours to reply. I prefer my way as IMO its more courteous to the buyer, yes sometimes I miss a sell by waiting on the first guys, but I feel better about it

Randy I have had the same happen to me also by asking for pics but a simple reply would be nice. He did not pm me or anything. I am sorry but I was raised to do the right thing and in this case would have been to contact those who replied first in the order that they did respond. Very poorly handled thread IMO.

The problem I have is the fact that seller said he didn't have the time to take more pics but had the time to do a pm sale !

Would be nice to here from the Seller as to why he picked VA ?

From what I've seen, and experienced here, the magic words are "I'll take it". I've lost parts in the past by asking a question instead of committing to buy. No money lost, and similar parts always seem to show up for sale later, so I didn't sweat it.

CrewCab59 asked a question, but really didn't even confirm his interest.
PT'S 70 CST put a condition of pictures on his interest. The seller didn't feel like taking pictures, so he moved on to the next interested party. Would you have still committed to purchase if the seller had came back and declined more pictures? If not, what's the issue?
teeitup passed when his opportunity was presented.
VA72C10 said the magic words, and was prepared to do the deal based on the information the seller had provided. I see nothing wrong here based on prior experience with how the for sale section here works.

As for the whole "pm sale" thing. VA72C10 expressed his interest in the thread like he's supposed to. No harm at all in discussing payment/shipping options in private once the deal has been made.

Frednoah let me tell you one thing it is not for you to decide for me if I would or would not have wanted to buy these consoles if the seller said he did not want to take extra pics. I have been on this board for a long time and have bought and sold a ton of parts on here. There is a thing I was raised with called respect and ethics and this post had neither. I have said enough about this deal.

Unfortunately it is ultimately the sellers choice to sell them. VA said he would take them after being offered them. How was he supposed to know the others did not pass on them? From what teeitup passed in order to give the guys ahead of him a chance. VA did nothing wrong if he was PM'd and offered them. Most sellers won't do that unless the others passed in PM etc.

Bypassing those offering to buy them because you don't want to take more pics without even telling them is against forum policy and rules. Generally not following basic guidelines will make people not want to deal with you. I also noticed you seem to be parting several trucks for profit and therefore qualify as a high octane vendor if you wish to continue selling. I would advise everyone that buys and sells to please review the code of conduct in order to prevent situations such as this.
