Re: 50 dollar parts truck
Another reason to hate country music. Great deal for you though. You could make a big profit at scrap price. Not that I am suggusting that.

Wow good score, and wow crazy chick. Did you pick it up in a trailer park? That's almost a Jerry Spinger story there.

Re: 50 dollar parts truck
I bought a 66 Chevelle a few years back same deal but a lot worse. She used a big sledge and was there at it a long time beating on it. It was enough to make a man cry. It was a nice driver until she got a hold of it.

Re: 50 dollar parts truck
$50 truck equals $500 scrap metal, but I bet that the top band on that tailgate may get so $$$ from some of the board member. If I were you I would become a member so you could sell some parts

Re: 50 dollar parts truck
I'll give you $50 right now for the cab trim below the back window. Then everything else you make is profit!

Re: 50 dollar parts truck
I am curious if you guys saying $500+ at the crusher have actually hauled anything recently? In my area car scrap is at $.105 per/lb and that truck doesn't weigh over 3300lbs without the motor/trans. I wouldn't think scrap prices would vary that much from area to area since it is pretty much a global market but they may.
Still a great deal. I would haul the bed, bumpers, whatever doors/fenders are beyond saving after removing good trim. I would then probably regret hauling the bed if it had a good floor and front panel. |
