Value of a '72 3/4 ton rolling frame?

I found a parts truck for sale today....with a very rust free (for this area anyway) cab on it, even in the same color as my truck....for the right price too .

Anyway, it is a '72 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup...with 8 lug wheels, front disc brakes, and i would imagine a Dana 60 or HO72 rear axle with 3.54 gears (truck originally had a 402 big block). How much would the rolling frame be worth, minus engine and transmission? Aren't 3/4 ton front disc trucks kinda hard to find?

Also, the truck had air conditioning, but the heater box, brakets, and compresser under the hood are all missing. Could i put my non-AC heater core and box on the firewall, and run that until i can piece togheter a factory-like AC system in the future? Thanks for any help

The 3/4 frame and spindles aren't worth anything around here. I've had five 71-72 3/4 trucks in the last 2 months, most of them went to scrap yard because no one wanting them. I did sell 2 front ends for $20, not worth the time to cut them apart. Take out the crossmember, drive shaft, motor mounts, rearend and take the body off and scrap the rest unless you are going to fix it up. Good luck Randy

Hmmmmmm How bad do you need one.. I have a 71 and a 70 complete frame. The 71 has disc up front and the 70 has drums. I see you are across the country. Maybe ot would fit on top of my 72 4x4 that is comming your way.. I have the 71 in Chico Calif and the 70 is out here still on my trailer looking for a place to hide from my wife.
