1971 cab
It there any thing differant from a 70 4x4 cab to a 71 2wd cab ? Will everything from my 70 fit right in to the 71 ??

if the hump doesnt bolt in on the four wheel drive then pretty much yes, gas pedal mounting is about all i can think of

the 4x4 will have a bolt in high hump floor for the trans hump. The 2 wheel drive will be a low hump unless it was a big block or a 4 speed. Either swap the bolt on high hump, or cut out the low hump and bolt on the 4x4 high hump.
The 70 will have a throttle rod, and the 71 a cable. You can rig the 70 to work like the 71, but to make it look and fit like a real 71, you'll have some cutting and welding to do. The 71 will have a raised mounting pad for the rear view mirror, the 70 won't have the raised pad.... but who cares. |
