mini tubs

I need to make or buy 4 to 5 inch mini tubs. Where do I get them or the parts to make them?

Re: mini tubs

One solution would be to use the tubs from a small pickup bed...S-10, or the little Ford, or any import. Almost any salvage yard will have a bed you can cut them out of. Once removed, you can trim them down to the exact size you want.

Re: mini tubs

Stock fleet side bed inner wheel wells from a 60 - 72 work good. They can be cut to any width needed, be it narrower or wider, and they look period correct.

Also could do the "trailer fender" modification. I did that on mine.

Re: mini tubs

I was looking at these. I saw them at Bowtie Bits which I think is a board sponsor. Made out of fiberglass.

On a stepside it is about 11" from the bedside to the fender so you'd only need about another 9-10 inches. I think that would be pretty easy to find in a trailer fender but if you have a fleetside (sorry cant remember which box you have) that would be a different kettle of fish..

Re: mini tubs

I guess that I did not clarify that too well. 19" diameter rim with a tire on it. As far as rim width, its 10 inches. I only need a few inch tub.
