Gaskets
Does anybody know how to identify an Edlebrock manifold if it doesn't have any numbers on it?

Re: Gaskets
I've never seen an Edelbrock intake that didn't have some sort of identifying numbers on it. I agree, pics would help.

Re: Gaskets
Unless the previous owner polished them off all elde`s have numbers, the only manfold that don`t have numbers are the performer plus ( not related to edelbrock ) made in china...junk.

Re: Gaskets
Here are the pics. It has the carb on it. I checked behind the carb for numbers and still didn't see anything.

Re: Gaskets
That looks like a Torker manifold to me.....I'm sure some others will chime in. If I'm correct it was a midrange power single plane manifold.

Re: Gaskets
Ditto
#5001 Torker II The name is cast in the low flat in front of the distributor. Nothing there???? I've only seen one engine these intakes worked good on,, a 355 with RPM heads, mild solid flat tappet cam, 5000stall convertor, shifting at 6600. There pretty unresponsive below 3000rpm

Re: Gaskets
As others have said, it sure looks like a 5001 Torker II.
If all else fails, remove the intake manifold from the engine, turn the manifold upside down, and read the part number that is cast into the aluminum there. |

Re: Gaskets
Yes I agree, that is a Torker !! manifold. Like has already been said, not really a street friendly manifold. You would get better performance out of a Performer RPM/ RPM Air Gap. Heck a standard Performer would likely perform better on the street.

Re: Gaskets
You are all correct!!! After I wiped the oil and dirt off I seen the torquer II stamp on it. But instead of replacing the manifold gasket I replaced the valve cover gaskets to see if oil ends up on top of the engine on the passenger side, where the valve cover was missing the gasket.

Re: Gaskets
I really don't know what the Torker intake, nor the 305 H.O. heads would be worth. There really isn't much demand for either, so it's a situation where if you can find someone that is looking for those, to get the best price out of them. If you could get $50-75 for the intake, and maybe $50 for the heads, I think that would be about all you could expect.

Re: Gaskets
Unless you find a "305 guy"... those heads are scrap.
Clean up the Torker and huck it on CL for $100 bucks. See what ya get. Gary

Re: Gaskets
take a look on e bay and see if there are any intakes like that for sale... then keep an eye on the auction. That should get you an idea what they are going for.

Re: Gaskets
I had a Torker II on a 350 in my 72 Camaro that worked great, of course, the camaro was a tad lighter than a truck. :P
