58 chevy front suspension.
Was the 58 still a straight axle, or IFS?

Cars went IFS in 55, but I'm thinking trucks were later, so you're probably right.

straight axles until 60, then coils/a-arms unless it was 4wd.

Early 60's had torsion bar front suspension, the they went to coil. I think 60 -62 had torsion bar.
