Mine was good quality. Specre Brand made in Canada. They make good gas tanks as well. No complaints here other than the wider top and bottom braces on radiator that might require mods to stock rad shroud. Mine was aluminum so I just drilled new holes and mounted it. Auto Zone price about $200.

Advance Auto Parts has a 3 row copper brass with metal tanks for $203 with a 15% off coupon code right now. The Autozone unit that I looked up for the $180 was plastic tanks and aluminum core.

Re: Cheapest Place to buy a new Radiator? Input appreciated
I checked them here in Virginia at our local Advance and found the Ready-Rad 4 core copper/brass for 261.79. I called a friend of mine who ownes a radiator shop in Richmond and he said that it was a good radiator. He sells the same thing and couldn't beat that price. It comes with the trans cooler btw.
The part number is a 433369 and you take 15% off with code DCPR at checkout if you order it online. |

Re: Cheapest Place to buy a new Radiator? Input appreciated
I would have to recommend Summit. I called them up and told them the size of my old radiator and they had a Summit brand all aluminum fully welded and right pretty might I ad! It Fit but I had to make a new upper mount as the filler was in the way of the passenger side mount. Any way, last night I did my 20 minute at 2,000 rpm cam break in on my new motor and with only a cheap box fan sitting in front of it it only got to around 180 Deg. I love mine and Summit was really helpful with the purchase. Oh yea, shipped to the door for around $170.00

Re: Cheapest Place to buy a new Radiator? Input appreciated
Rockauto.com shows that part # as one of your applications. If you already had 4 core radiator, that is the one. If you had a 2 core, you probably have get different top and bottom brackets.

Re: Cheapest Place to buy a new Radiator? Input appreciated
I just bought this radiator yesterday from OReillys. Part # 433369. It's a murray brand. Metal tanks, 4 core, pretty sure it has an aluminum core. Looks to be excellent quality and even has the nipple for heater hose. $179
OReillys site shows them to have plastic tanks but this one is metal. The 3 core is actually higher priced than the 4 core at about $220. Not sure what's up with that. Posted via Mobile Device |
