Speedo Gears - Stock and Non-Stock
OK, So I did a search and didn't find what I was looking for.
68 C-10, 4-spd. SM465 trans, the factory rear gear was a 3.73, swapped-in a 3.08 axle. With the 3.73 axle the speedometer was absolutely, perfectly, exact, checked by 2 different GPS units. Now with the 3.08 axle it's off, yes, I know that's what happens. What would be the factory gear (color? #-teeth?) be in the SM465? What would be the proper gear for this combo? References to websites would be helpful also. Thanks!
