Power steering
Ok guys,I need to do the PS upgrade NOW.I went from having 3 or so inches of play to almost half a trun of the steering wheel in a 15 mile cruise last night. I have everthing to do the swap except the pitman arm.I don't know what year the gearbox is from, but it does have the o-ring style fittings.I haven't been able to find a cross reference to determine which pitman arm to order(you know they aren't in stock). The only #'s I find on the PS gearbox are 4L and on the adjustment cover 2A090.Does anyone know where to find out what box I have so I can order a Pitman arm?
Thanx for any help.

Re: Power steering
The o ring fittings started in early 80s so id start with that, the way I understand it the 2wds can switch pitman arms with 2wds an same goes with the 4wds but 4wd can't switch with 2wd. Hopefully someone else would chime in also.

Re: Power steering
Thanx Tim & treveinger. You guys help a lot.I knew I read somewhere that any Pitman for a PS box would fit any of them but I saw several Part#'s for the different years.I knew it would probably fit the center link but I wasn't sure about the box.Thanx again.

Re: Power steering
Just remember 67 did not have that style power steering and 71-up center links are different.
