changing to a camaro rear end, now i need to weld on new spring pads [spring perches], after setting the pinion angle, up 4 degrees , do i weld the pads on at the same angle or do i set them level, 0 degrees?

Re: rear spring pads

Can you place the spring perches on the axle tube and loosely clamp the ubolts?
Then pivot the rearend to get the pinion angle correct.
Then tack the spring perches with the weight of the truck on rearend.
Remove and fully weld.
