anyone tightened torsion bars on 61-62 C20

Has anyone tightened down torsion bars on a 61-62 c20 to get more height out of the truck. Any pics or info?

Re: anyone tightened torsion bars on 61-62 C20

that one is actually pretty simple,at the rear of the bars you will see a bolt facing upward, one on each side they take either a 13/16 or a 15/16 socket (i dont remember which) then you will see a (square block nut) on the other end of the bolt.take a cresent wrench to the top side to hold it and of course the socket on the other and turn clockwise to go up.you will want to raise the truck and take the weight off the wheels to make it simpler and count the turns on each bolt and of course bring them up evenly then lower the truck and roll it a few feet so the camber adjusts so the truck will sit correctly to gauge your gain that you are looking for.one full turn on my 1/2 ton is about 3/4".
