Interesting find at the Pick N Pull - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Stopped by the local Pick N Pull after work and one of the first things I see is this 1970 Longbed that's likely headed for the crusher sooner rather than later.
Laying on the front seat was the glove box door with some interesting history on the SPID.
This truck was built for someone looking for "transportation." The the owner used the ample white space to document the truck's service history and capacity of the radiator and gas tank.
My favorite is on the bottom right: "Fixed front wheels. All's well. 3/77"

haha...that reminds me of my grandmother sitting in her rocker and when she wanted to write someones number down she would turn and write it on the wall.

Reminds me of my grandfather. This man wrote on everything with a sharpie. Didn't matter were it was or what it was. His hand was his idea of a palm pilot, he would write all the way up to his elbow on a daily basis. He kept service records by writing on the undersides of hoods. He even wrote my cell phone number on the headache rack of his 1-ton so he could remember it.

It did kind of rub off though cause I do right on my hands.
