Re: WTB No-spin Eaton locker

I have one I would sell but have no idea what ratio it serves.
Is there a number on it that verifies what it will work with??
I just have the locker unit itself, no 3rd member or carrier, no ring& pinion.
I thought it was for 4:10's but how to tell???

Re: WTB No-spin Eaton locker

Tim, thanks for the reply. That's all I need is the locker itself. I suspect any HO52 locker will work regardless of ratio but that's just a guess. Let me post the question on the drivetrain forum and try to find out. I'll post back here when I know.

Is the locker in good shape?

Re: WTB No-spin Eaton locker

I have a complete H052/H072 from a 72 3/4 ton 4X4. It is a 4:10.
If you don't need, maybe someone else will see it in the thread. I need $300 plus shipping or local pick-up. Thanks, Dan

Re: WTB No-spin Eaton locker

Thanks Dan. Just to clarify, is that a complete rear end or the no-spin locker?

Re: WTB No-spin Eaton locker

Ozark Tim - Another member tells me the no-spin locker will work with any series gear ratio. Let me know how much you want for the locker when you can. Thanks.

Re: WTB No-spin Eaton locker

It's the pumpkin that loads into the front of the housing. Ring and pinion, posi unit, case and yoke. Thanks for clearing that up. Dan

Re: WTB No-spin Eaton locker

Dan - Any chance you'd sell just the locker?

I imagine shipping costs on the whole pumpkin would be very pricey.

Re: WTB No-spin Eaton locker

It is usually a lot easier to install the whole center pumpkin with all the gears set & the patterns "run in"...if the gear ratio is right for you.

Frank, I believe it. I hope to save some $ over outfitting the Eaton with a 14 bolt diff and axles. I'd like to have Dan's pumpkin but considering the potential shipping cost of such a heavy piece of steel I suspect I wouldn't save much. Maybe I'm wrong.

I want to do the same thing with my 4.56 HO72 pumpkin...I've been trying to do some research to see if a Lockright mini type locker will work with the Eaton/14 bolt hybrid....it would have to fit in the Eaton carrier or use a 14 bolt open carrier, haven't seen one yet but don't see why it wouldn't work.

Did find some awesome disc brake brackets which are cut just for Eatons and need no spacers of any kind .....they use '77 14 bolt 3/4 ton rotors and calipers.

Rushnbobo - Where did you get the disk brake brackets and what calipers did you go with? I was planning on using a kit from Blackbirds Custom Trucks: http://www.blackbirdscustomtrucks.com/index.html

Tim - Thanks for the PM

Re: WTB No-spin Eaton locker

Tim- From what I can tell that's a fine piece of steel. Do you know if I need the side springs to install this? Do you have these too? (pic w springs is borrowed from an old board post). I want to buy it just making sure I have everything I'm going to need for the install.

Thanks for the pics. Pete

Re: WTB No-spin Eaton locker

I know there are springs or spring inside which is why the long bolt and nut are on it to keep it from flying into 3 or more pieces. If you need me to dissasemble and take more pictures just let me know.

That's good enough for me. I'll take it. Thanks Tim. Please send PM with payment details when possible.

Re: WTB No-spin Eaton locker

Any chance any of you know have one still?

I'd like to get one right now since I just got my third member from another board member and the spider gears were broke, which I knew, I'd just like to find a locker before I put it back together.
