Question tranmission mount bolts missing

Crawled under my 88 k1500 (w/5 spd manual) and noticed the bolts that attach the tranmission mount to the tranmission were missing. The tranmission is just laying on the mount a bit off to one side

I'm pretty sure I need to get that tranny bolted down

Anyone know what size those bolts are or where I might find out what size they are?

Thanks, in advance, for your help once again!

Re: tranmission mount bolts missing

10mm x 1.50, wreaking yard would be a good source, Autos (700R4, 2004R, 4L60E & 4L80E) also have the same bolts.

Re: tranmission mount bolts missing

Went and bought a couple of 10mm x 1.5 bolts w/flat and lock washers from the hardware store and got them installed today. The transmission lay about a 1/4" out of alignment with the mount bolts so I found a new use for my ratcheting cargo straps as well, pulling between the tailshaft and frame rail to bring the bolt holes into alignment. Truck shifts better, is quieter, and vibration is way down.

One question; Should I take it back apart and use anti-seize lube on the bolts? I think the tranmission housing is aluminum and the bolts were black case hardened.

Thanks to this forum and especially clinebarger for making this possible!
