Re: Favorite year Chevy/GMC truck
47 - 72. I'd like at least one of each. 70 and 71 are my two favorites, with a Blazer probably being my favorite model. Best mods, I believe, are power brakes and power steering if you don't have them. they make the trucks enjoyable to drive.

Re: Favorite year Chevy/GMC truck
My favorites are pretty much any '67-72 Chevy or GMC. With the '67-68 for looks and the '71-72 for frills. The '55-57 Chevy panel trucks are favorites as well.
Top of my list is a '67 K20/2500 panel (chevy built 8). Followed closely by a '57 Chevy/NAPCO 3805 one-ton panel. On a more pratical note a C30 or C20 Longhorn is in my future so lets make next a '68-72 C30 Longhorn. If I were to build a phantom it would be a '72 Cheyenne Super K20 panel truck. My favorite mods. have to be 4x4 by NAPCO and Marmon&Herrington. 5,6spds and ODs too. Getting stuck is no fun and single digit gas mileage isn't much fun either. We, my parents and I, have had seven Chevy trucks to date '69 C20 292/4spd bought new by my mom! '76 C10 250/3spd also new '79 G10 cargo van also new '72 Vega panel express '72 C10 suburban 400/400 '72 C10 250/3spd on propane '72 C30 cc 350/4spd

Re: Favorite year Chevy/GMC truck
My favorite has always been the 67-68's, which is why I bought a 68, but I was looking for anything 67-72.
But, growing up, my dad has always had his 53. It's always had a 235 6cyl/3speed and original suspension. I learned to drive a 3 on the tree in this truck, so the AD 47-53's will always hold a special place in my heart. That said, I really like all Chevy/GMC trucks.
