Check out my new rims.

I'm sure you guys don't have this problem. You know when you have a little extra money laying around and you spend countless hours/days dreaming about all the things you can buy for you truck? In my case it was a set of new rims. But apparently my wife had also been thinking of things she could spend the money on. In her case a new dining room table. And since I like seeing my 18month old son more than every other weekend and really want to spend more than 3 months in my new house I decided it was for the best to let my wife get the table. Hey what can I say, You win some and you lose some. Anybody else have to sacrifice on things for your truck to keep peace in your house?

Re: Check out my new rims.

Worst looking rims ever.

I guess I'm really lucky then. My girl would never even fathom trying to tap my truck fund.

Re: Check out my new rims.

at the beginning of last month i picked up a really clean dirtbike that wasn't running because i knew i could flip it fast. long story short, the wife was pissed i bought the bike but wasn't upset when i sold it for 4 times what i paid for it. i only bought it so i could take the extra money to buy truck parts. well all that money ended up going towards our vaction that we took. i've just come to realize sometimes its easier to make sure they're happy. what good are new truck parts if your other half is fuming mad at you? sorry for the rant fellas

Re: Check out my new rims.

I know right? But the wind blows everything down. New house + new landscaping = broke sammy. 15 insnt the worst of it. Ive got over that in #%§£€ Hosienda already by the way of dirtwork grass retaining walls trees and on and on. I could care less if she wants a table. Ill go 100% alcholic before i do another house. I mean got four friggin trucks waitin man. I could live in an RV with a shop and beer fridge...just sayin.

I feel better now thanks.

Re: Check out my new rims.

I do not think thats the right bolt pattern for your truck and I am not sure they will fit in the wheel well.

I have done the same thing many times. It always works out in the end. I sold my '69 Camaro in 1993 to fund a nice left hand ring for her . It has still allowed me to buy things with out too much complaining. I do miss the car but she has been around for years .Good trade .

I'm with Frank here. I had a beautiful grey '90 Lincoln Mark VII SE when I met my wife. The rarest color, one year only, 1 owner, blah blah blah. When all of my friends had pictures of Porsches and Lamborghinis on their walls, I had the dealer brochure from this car on mine. Anyhow, my wife wears it on her left hand now.

The cool thing about this is that my really understanding wife helped me book my flight last night to go pick up it's replacement. Same car, in the color I really wanted (black), and even cleaner than the last one. The exact car I have been wanting for ther last 20 years.

I think you made the right decision. Besides you have to be in it for the long haul. It might not be what you want today, but you don't know what tomorrow will bring.

Re: Check out my new rims.

That's why I like being single. I had to go without more than anyone else involved and just can't make myself go back to that. I got free though, thats why I spent so much on my truck, most of it in like a 3 month period. because I wanted to. because i can. Maybe I'll be up for a possible wife once I have everything else I think I need. maybe.

this is my ex's car, I drove 8 hours one way to pick it up. 6 months later she left with the car. It was worth every penny.
