Re: Gas gauge not reading right???

Pull the wire off the terminal, and touch it directly to ground, then check guage...with key on of course

Re: Gas gauge not reading right???

I recently replaced my sending unit and it worked great. The first time that I filled my tank, it was only showing a quarter of a tank. Turns out that the sending unit I installed had a pinhole in the float. I purchased yet another new sending unit, installed it and now it works great.

Moral of the story is that sometime you get bad sending units.
