Times equate to low 13's or high 12's in the 1/4.
I'll never be happy or comfortable with this trans. Got home last night and it sat in the driveway for a while then moved to garage....left 3 nice drops on the pavement. I just can't get this thing to seal up, or shift how and when I want it too.....so as soon as I get a spare $2k its out and becoming my personal rebuild project for a backup tranny for those times I get to go to an LSx, Goodguys, or some other event far from home.

Holley's LSFest is in Bowling Green KY. The LSX Shootout that was in Memphis is in like 4 other cities now
As far as shifting, I plan to race this truck and I need it to be consistent...or I might as well stay home.

purchased a 2nd carb...for use in the off season. Wanted something on the other end of the scale from my 750cfm Street HP that would start up easy in winter and return a reasonable mpg for just cruising, so I got a vacuum 650cfm 4150 series Holley. Dual inlet, elec. choke, vac. secondaries
Made 2 changes before bolting it on in the hopes I wouldn't have to take it back off. Based on my old carb I upped the primary jets 3 sizes and the primary squirter 7 sizes. Left the secondary jets and vacuum springs alone for now. I think this smaller carb might be a bit crisper jumping off idle then the 750cfm Street HP! Might have to take it to the track again and see how the "economy" carb does up against my "race" carb.

should make it a bit easier to get along with in winter as opposed to the 750 Street HP.
but on the other hand.................I may have a deal working where someone wants what I've got (that I'm not really using) and might trade some to most of an LY6/L92/LS3 efi setup and a tune for it. If I do...I'll take it another direction to solve my weak trans issue. Just put a 4L80e in it. Then all I'll need for lots of abuse at the track and easy cruising home is a built dana60 or 14bolt SF 9.5"...or my last choice...a 9" turd

Sweet build and great numbers on the track. I have a question. I am not motor savy, so I had a friend build me a motor..basically a zz4 block, edelbrock e-tec heads, rpm air gap intake, roller cam and lifters, and edelbrock 750. Said it should put out 420HP. Runs like a scalded dog! The problem I have is I have not done anything to the rear end...I am wanting POSI! How hard is it to install a Richmond or posi lock?

its not that hard to do, especially if you're not swapping the gears too. Mine's an Eaton limited slip...or "posi".
if you had someone build your motor...you might want to do the same with the rear.

Yes i will be getting the ez tcu that tci and fast built together. It has an option to wire push button shifts. Like a paddle shifter but with buttons.

well......my build may be taking a different direction. If some horsetrading that I'm involved in works out like it looks like it will...I'll be getting all the stuff needed to take my LY6 from carb back to running computerized efi. I guess I should go ahead and install it all vs letting it just gather dust.
custom harness, ecm, complete intake, etc. I'm thinking now I can go 4L80e easily....or I could even go 6L80e I think. Now that would be cool.

only know its for genIV and loaded w/cable TB. but think it's a truck intake.................I think.
it's not like I really need to go efi....was just the best way to come together on a trade. funny....was just getting the a/f dialed in with the smaller carb...though it would never be as efficient as it would with a computer managing the fuel.

what do you need to know? The truck runs and drives fine...just not as efficiently as the efi would be
on the efi... waiting for the guy to get thru with the harness and the tune and ship it all to me. I keep thinking if my intake was a single plane I'd just get the boss's drilled and tapped and toss a big throttle body on top. May wind up there someday tho...who knows.

Just think 4150 style throttle body on single plain efi manifold.........There is a guy on here with that set up and it looks great.

I know it is. I was just going with the idea of using the edelbrock manifold. So it will look similar still. Could prob find one used on ls1tech cheap
