Billet hood hinges

does anyone know if they have corrected the billet hood hinges for the 67-72 so that the hood will open all the way up

the billets hood hinges for the 67-72 chevy truck they wont allow the hood to open all the way up like the stock ones

whose are you referring, EMS? Not sure, but Ring Brothers has them now and will be fitting a set hopefully soon.

I am not sure if the last question ever got answered. I have heard that some do interfere with the factory air, but I have no example of that, just what I heard.

You can just make your own out of your old hinges. It is not too difficult of a fabrication since the old hinge provides most of the geometry. If you have moderate fab tools you can make a set for around $100. Most of that is in the bearings and hardware.

As you can see mine open up several inches further than stock hinges.











No, I am not posting this because I am going into business making hinges, I made them for myself and have posted them so you guys can get an idea to fab your own from my design. I wanted a set but there was no way I could afford $600 bucks for a set.
