Thanks WES!

Just wanted to thank Wes at Classic Heartbeat for getting me a fuel filler patch. At first I was hesitant about cutting and welding becuase I have never even picked up a welding lead before but I figured that I cant mess up anything a good body man couldnt repair. The patch was flat and had to bent to match the curves of the truck and then welded and ground down but I think I did a pretty good job. Now on to bigger and rustier things. Thanks again Wes for boosting my confidence. And to anyone else out there that is a little scared I say go for it.

He took the pic straight on and the other door is off, giving the illusion it is just the rear pillar. But if you look to the left you can see the floor. I know, my truck is minus the doors right now too. Can you say SUICIDE YEAH!!!

Thanks, I am using a Millermatic 175. I just followed ebfabman instructions (series of tack welds until is complete welded). I got a little carried away with the grinder but nothing a little bondo cant heal.
