Champion Radiator in a 67-72 C10
Who here has a champion radiaotr in there C10? I got our the other day and is super nice etc. Apond mock up noticed the factory mounts that hold it in do not fit and are way to big. So my question is did anyone or does anyone have a fix for this? Think smaller brackets but from what? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance

I would like to know this as well, I have their 3 core aluminum one but don't know what brackets to use. Does it use the 3 core or 4 core brackets?

Did you use the 3 row or 4 row brackets and is yours the 3 row aluminum radiator. Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Champion Radiator in a 67-72 C10
I just got the Champion 2 row (2 1inch rows) aluminum radiator in this week. It's going to fit, however, the tanks are just barely too wide to sit all the way down in my standard radiator retainers. I'm either going to have to try some of the heavy duty size retainers or slightly modify the standard size ones. Everything lines up where it should.
It's not as pretty and polished as a Be Cool brand radiator. I'll spiff it up myself with some polish. I paid $165 shipped for the radiator with the cap, from an ebay seller. For that price I can't complain about either of these issues. I'll put up some pics once I get it in. |

Re: Champion Radiator in a 67-72 C10
The champion radiator I got was much wider that the original that was in the truck. So since the factory brackets did not work I fabricated some top brackets for mine, went to home depot and found a small piece of sheet metal that was thick enough for $7 (see pictures) and for the bottom I made some rubber boots to keep it from rubbing since it would not fit inside the core and it works great.
