Seen? Heck, I ain't even ever heard of anything like that!

Has anyone ever seen or hear of a 67-72 GMC pickup or Chevy for that matter, with a factory vinyl top? If so, was it a dealer or glovebox option?

Some old man told me that the vinyl on his GMC was original, but I think he started drinking around noon today.

we had this debate and so far we have determined that they were aftermarket or dealer installed, chevy never installed a vinyl top on a chevy truck from the factory, when the option vinyl tirm is shown in the glovebox it is talking about the interior trim not the vinyl roof

A lot of confusion comes to play because dealers would install items like this in advance. As far as the old guy knows it was "factory" installed, when in reality it was the dealer that did it...

On the other hand, Dodge did install vinyl tops on their trucks in the 70's. They even had one called the "Dude"...it was really groovy man...
