What a beautiful piece indeed! If you could roll it into storage somewhere and hold it, as is, your investment would increase better than most markets at the moment.

May those who love us, love us, any of those who do not love us, may God turn their hearts.
And if God is unable to turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we may know them by their limping.

A man who works with his hands is a laborer; a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman; but a man who works with his hands and his brain and his heart is an artist.

Pretty cool. Restore or rod? Either way, you just need to whippet into shape. LOL
OK...that was bad, I know.

Here I thought you were talking about a dog!

That looks really solid. Are there any good internet sites for the Whippit?

There has to be an old barn in this story somewhere. It looks as if it was in a good old barn, 'cause the metal condition doesn't look as bad as most cars that age. Cool find, and surely you are going for restoration aren't you?

Studebaker engine???

Hey! Good score, rust not too bad, considering your locale. Looks like the old rope-style door latches still work!

Is that engine akin to Studebaker 6's, or is it Nash? I don't remember.

Anyway, hope you get what ou want out of it. Phaetons make nice "big" cars, for family touring. In one of these, you could take most of today's "average" families for a rod run. Then, the purists could raise heck and dis you for "ruining" a perfectly good old car. Sometimes, they just don't understand the economics of old car life...because some of them have more money than street smarts.

Then, there is me....wishing I had enough money to buy the hot rod I'd like to have because I don't have the tenacity and do-rey-mi to build one myself. I guess that's why there is such as thing as a "Check Book Classic".
