Thats not really unusual. How many times do your read on this board where a guy has to ask his wife this or that. Or his wife says no etc etc.

He's got it backwards. His ad should be:

Free to good home: One defective wife. Comes with hairbrush and all accessories. Muzzle not included.

Sleeping on the couch never bothered me much, it's kind of like camping..without as much beer and s'mores.

Re: Somebody needs to have a talk with this guy's wife...

Luckily the fact that my mother-in-law and brother-in-law both live with us and one of them has to sleep on the couch every night I don't really have to worry about it...

she'd make me sleep out in my truck

Re: Somebody needs to have a talk with this guy's wife...

My wife goes , junking with me likes going to the pulla part. She and my daughter took an evening body class [I went too] so that she could help out in the shop when I get behind. Just the other day she taped up an Avalanche that I had in the booth to take a little of the load off me. She even bought me a 68 LeMans convert project one year for my Birthday.

It's really not that bad for me either, she buys me tools for my shop every birthday or Christmas and is going to the turkey rod run with me.

Dang, sounds about the same as sleeping in a bed with the wife and kiddo! At least when I share the couch with the dog, the dog doesn't run me off the couch!

Re: Somebody needs to have a talk with this guy's wife...

A lot of guys blame their wimmin' for stuff they want to do anyway. And know they are being candy a$$es.

Mine's kind of a fancy broad. But I dragged her to the shop today in the cold to help bleed the brakes. Whenever I ask her to
come and sit while I wrench on the truck, she says, "I'm not that kind of girl".

But, in the 39 years we've been married, she's bought a lot of parts for motorcycle and truck builds, sat in the car while I bought parts,
went to motorcycle shows because I had a bike in it......came and got me when I was stuck on the side of the road, etc., etc.

If, at this point, she told me to do anything, like maybe sell something I wanted to keep, I'd tell her,
"....Kiss my butt...Hock that set of rings I bought that set me back a half a year's salary.....".

She'd slug me in the arm and then make dinner. (I do the dishes).

Re: Somebody needs to have a talk with this guy's wife...

I'd guess that it didnt have power steering or automatic tranny ! so she didnt want to drive it !!!! If it had plenty of power an both mentioned parts im sure He would have to ask her when He could get it back? to make his run to the parts store !!! Also might need to have A/c added

Re: Somebody needs to have a talk with this guy's wife...

ok im gonna get my licks in on the wife talk. mine tried to blow-up my 85 s10 with a carbed 2.8, she is too young and has never had to deal with pumpint the throtle a coupple of times before and while cranking the engine. she was cranking and cranking i said give 'er some gas and she put it to the mat!!!!!!!! then kept cranking after the engine had started!!!. but that being said she does hang out in the garage and will bring me a wrench when it is inconvienent for me to get to, and goes to the junk yard (wearing flip flops??) and has never asked me to sell anything i have, but most of my stuff is kinda special to me and she knows that, if i had something random that we didnt really need or want then id have no problem selling anyway. i love my wife.
