Good places to find a truck
Hey guys. I'm in Houston and was wondering if any of you had some good websites, forums, or places to find a truck other than Craigslist and Ebay? I've come to find that Ebay's prices are usually on the high end for these trucks as projects and Craigslist only has so much. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for a '67-'72 C10 SWB or a box style crew cab. Thanks guys.

I found my truck by taking out my own "Truck Wanted" ad on craigslist.
1972 rust free Custom 20 Deluxe for $1,400 Seems the owner had too many truck projects and was considering putting it up for sale. He saw my ad and I got to see it a day before he posted it himself. Of course for that price I jumped on it. J.

You can use sites like claz.org that search craigslist & other similar sites within so many miles of your location.

Whats your price range? Looking for a project or one already done? Just wondering, because I've probably inquired on all the decent '67-'72 short wides on Craigslist. Took me months, but I finally found one in Dallas last week. There's a really nice, solid project in Waco that someone sent me pics of after I bought mine. I can send you the info if you want. hemmings motor news
swapmeets backroads pull a part parking lots drag races,dirt tracks, speedways walmart,lowes,home depot parking lots i've seen trucks in all these locations some for sale some not but talking to owners is interesting and a good source of leads on stuff some good some bad

I know where there is a 72 swb, one owner. There is some rust in the floor parts but none that I could find under the dash and in the cowl area. This is a very restorable truck with a good, straight body. Will need some work on the wiring and some other areas. He was asking $2,000 for it. If you are really interested I can go get some pics and send you. Don't think it runs so you would need to bring a trailer.

Well how much you looking to spend? 67-72 chevy/gmc shortfleets drivable are going no less than $4,000. Longbeds half that or less. This one cousin of mine ask me to help him find an old chevy pickup. I asked him how much he gots to spend. $100? I told him I could get him a front or rear bumper to start him off with his build

I'm not concerned about it being drivable. I'm heavily leaning towards an LSX swap. The ones that I've been seeing have the going rate of $3500-$4000. That's a reasonable price point for me. $100 is a lil low. Lol.

ok here are three, I could not get under the hood so I do not know what is under there, there is rust in the floor panels, the rockers don't look too bad, there is rust showing through the ouside of the bottom of the passenger door and front passenger fender, I will try to post the rest of the pics I took

ok, here are the rest of the pics, the one pic of the top of the door is the only rusted spot I could really see at the top of the cab, there are some other spots where there is rust but it looks to be surface rust, let me know if you want more info on this truck, it is still for sale, he is asking 2,000.00 and is probably stuck pretty closely to that number, like I said, have no idea what is under the hood, thanks, Mike
