Re: BlueJ

Several days later I found the 73-74 blue and white color combo I've always wanted. So here we go again.

Meet BlueJ

It's a solid Arizona truck I was able to obtain for little money.

Re: BlueJ

It has that hard to find pearl and black interior like OJ had. Most of the blue and white trucks had that all blue interior that was common.

It already has (had) two slots on it. I think it's trying to tell you something.

Looks like a good start man - if it turns out half as nice as the last one you'll have another great truck!!! Looking forward to more updates!

Re: BlueJ

So far I'm going with a 4" 6" drop all McGaughys, spindles, coils, shackles, hangers and shocks. Wheels will be either stock white steels with the correct dog dishes and thin white walls or 8X15 deep polished slots with a set of BFG. Restore the interior and see how the paint buffs out. I'm a sucker for original paint.

Man, your old truck was one of my favorites. I can't wait to see this one. The blue/ white combos are awesome! I hope you're kidding about "buffing" that thing.

Re: BlueJ

Yes just bought a parts truck 73 orange long bed with a mint white/pearle interior. I am busy stripping that down. Also just pullled the motor on my 56 I was lucky enough to get it into Barrett Jackson last minute for Jan 22. So with that deadline I am working on that project.

Well I just ran the numbers on the block and it came back a 79 truck 350. I also did a compression test and it scored about 135 psi per cylinder. As of now I am just collecting parts and trying to get this 56 done for the auction.

Re: BlueJ

Sweet project once again. That parts truck looks to be in great shape too. I agree about leaving the paint. Clean it up, add fresh trim and it will be a BIG hit.
