61 grills...where?
where can I buy one? or am I better off getting mine plated? I'd like a nice chrome grill but noticed a lot of places don't carry the old '61 style.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1961-Chevy-P...ht_1425wt_1110 and that seems pricey. |

Re: 61 grills...where?
No body does a reproduction of this grill. If yours is in good condition, I'd just have it plated or powder coated chrome. BTW- is it an aluminum or steel grill? The aluminum could be polished also. And $850 is pricey

Re: 61 grills...where?
Yes that price of $850 does sound pricey, but I think a guy would have close to that much,. if not more, in having a steel grill chrome plated. At least that is how plating prices are around here.
BTW, The '61 grill that Slowtruk had has been sold.

Re: 61 grills...where?
yeah I noticed his was gone. maybe I'll pull my grill off and take it to a local, see what they'd charge me to chrome vs powder. I have one dilemma tho, the 'Chevrolet' logo from the middle is missing...

Hit this guy up: http://stovebolt.com/RJ/ He had everything I needed for my 1960 truck. He sold me 2 doors (rust free) and many other parts for my project. Cool and honest dude!! And he will send you a cool t-shirt with your order.

Re: 61 grills...where?
I bought the one Slowtruck had.
Look on Craigslist in Las Vegas, NV under auto parts. Do a search for C10 Grill and you will see a guy in Parump that has one for sale. |
