Re: 59 fleet for sale (not mine)

That's a nice truck!
nice to see some of these trucks were still left in almost stock form, even though thats not my taste. I even thought it was the three on the tree at first glance...
Priced a little high for my tastes but if the underside/engine compartment look as good as the interior/exterior than its worth the price to the right buyer. Those fleetsides make me jealous...

Re: 59 fleet for sale (not mine)

Sorry to Jack the thread, but talking about three on the tree, I want to keep my car original where possible but not 100 "Showstopping Rebuild" but Im 6ft7 and a bit of leg room would be nice. If i change for a aftermarket steering column can the 3 on the tree adapt to it?

thanks Shane

Re: 59 fleet for sale (not mine)

No worries man, i just put this up for the pics. I can sympathize with the leg room (im 6'4") i have seen some aftermarket three on the tree colums, albeit it was for older stuff. My biggest problem is my seat is to high, puts my head in the roof so i have to lean over to see. I will do a seat swap to fix it, although id rather keep my orig. seat. If a seat swap is an option for you i would mock-up both the seat and colum at the same time. I'm about to ditch the in cab tank for a mustang tank in the bed to give me more room in the cab. There are some options out there without spending alot of $$$ and those ideas are all on this site. Keep searching and posting theres plenty on here. You might check orrie g's thread. i think he has some pics of his seat/colum cab mock up.
