Re: Slot lovers unite!
I love my slots!I spent three years trying to buy them from a guy who had them on a 76 big 10.Every time I saw him I would offer to buy the slots. He got the truck and the slots from his aunt and did not want to part with them.My last standing offer was $200 plus a trade with a clean set of outlaw 2's,I would do all the jack work and have his tire mount and balance .He still said "NO".I ran into him at a mutual friends house and he informed that he had sold the truck and slots along with it that day!
I made him give me the phone number of the guy he sold the truck to.I called and explained the story and made the same offer to the new owner. He said it didn't make much difference to him and we struck a deal.I now have a very nice clean set of deep dish slots and their beautiful.I love the way the look on our trucks. Also, because of the deep backset it made my track width wider and improved handlingThese are period correct and set the truck off.ALL HAIL SLOTS

Re: Slot lovers unite!
I don't have any pics and it's probably a good thing since they were on another brand of truck haha but my first truck had slots on it and I loved them.....wish I would have kept them when I got rid of it looking back on it.

Re: Slot lovers unite!
I bought them at Pep Boys. I think they were western wheels brand. It's been a few years so I could be wrong. The mounting holes didn't line up. I had to drill new ones.

Re: Slot lovers unite!
Running 15x10 slots w/295/50R15 tires on the back of my ’72. Running 14x6 ET V wheels up front with some 215/75R14.
I had machine shop that makes hot rod parts build some flat caps for them. Here is his info http://stores.ebay.com/Dashmans-Hot-...id=p4340.l2563 The wheels already had holes drilled with 2-7/16” centers, think these are a somewhat common pattern because I have had another set with this bigger 5 bolt cap before. The bolt pattern is bigger because the wheels have a center hub hole of 3.75 so a wider bc is required for the caps. The big caps vs the regular ones for like US Indy Mags(running those on my '69 Dart) |

Re: Slot lovers unite!
I picked these up yesterday for my '66. As soon as I find a place to refurbish them (minor curb rash), I'll mount my T/A's on them and be rolling "old school".

Re: Slot lovers unite!
I've had sets on a number of trucks, they always look good. I currently have a set of 16.5 on my 01 hd, and a set of 16.5 6 lug in the shed. I didn't know they made these in 15x10 8 lug until this thread, I would love to find a set of those. Anyone know if they made an 8 lug 15 any wider than 10?

Re: Slot lovers unite!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I picked up three of these from another member here, 70flintstep. The three I have are 15x 8.5" with 4" of backspacing. The size is cast into the back of the wheel. There are no other identifying marks on the wheels. I would be willing to purchase a pair if the price is right. Any info as to what brand these are or where I might go about finding one (or two) would be appreciated. |

Re: Slot lovers unite!
I'm looking at getting some 8 lug slots 16.5x 8.25 for my '72 C20. It has factory disc brakes and I'm just wondering if there's anything I should watch out for in terms of wheel sizing and intereference with disc brakes. I think these will fit but would like confirmation before I buy them. I am assuming the backspacing is 4.75 but have not checked yet. Thanks

Saw these at a local junk yard the other day and thought about buying them. If I didn't already have a set....
