Talking pulling the engine soon!

the 305 is gonna be gone for good. sometime in october i will take a day or two and pull that old thing out of my baby.

if anyone knows anyone who wants good running 305, tell me while its out i'll replace the gaskets on a lot of things, and replace the valve seals. plus make it look nice like paint it and crap.

also, if anyone would like to offer there help i would be more than greatful. i already have 2 friends who offered to, but i still need someone who is familier with these trucks and knows what wires and cords i need to keep, and what i dont need to keep.

while the engine is out, i will be redoing my front end with a new bushing kit, cleaning up my firewall a little, and possibly lowering the truck again to get it to a 5/7 drop. i may also redo the brake system.

What motor are you putting in...or are you keeping it a secret for now? Also, so you're planning on changing to shorty headers, as well as going with a shorter tire?

THATS GREAT NEWS!
I wish I was closer so I could help too.
One thought..........cut up the 305 into smaller pieces and mail it back to GM.

uh, how much were you gonna ask for the 305? My brother might need one for his truck, the 305 in it is gettin pretty tired these days, but when you have 200k on a motor, it will do that. Let me know, or you could maybe email him? emeribd@hotmail.com FYI

I would take it because I think mine is gonna go soon but I need to get that 400. Driving to Rose isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I only have to take my truck every other week and I can take 29th so its not puting as big of a strain on it as I thought it might.
