Question Windshield Removal in a 1974 C30.....????

Hey Guys,
I was wondering if anyone has any experience in removing a windshield in a 1974 C30. I know the ol string trick to install the windshield with a new seal, but I was hoping to use the old seal. (It does feel pretty hard though.)

You use the same trick to install the windshield with an old seal, too. Make sure to use lots of soapy water (or similar) to install it, and take your time.

Not taking the liberty of spending your hard-earned $$$, but I'd get a new seal, especially if existing seal is original to your truck or its age is unknown. Why go through the trouble of installing a new windshield then have it leak because of an old seal? Been there, done that and learned from it.

Put pieces of rubber around the top, and a little ways down the sides. Then push out slowly. Here is a pic of my rear glass.

Go with LMC.

My entire truck has new stripping everywhere

Previous owner dropped $$$ on it before sale. No leaks like some of the auto zone stripping I have used previously on other applications.
