Re: 69 Wrecker on SC CL

Looks like a good deal. I wonder if it's a C/20 with a 1t rear

Looks like the primered over the shop logos? Wonder if you could get the primer off without damaging the logos.

I'd say you could. I wouldn't mind having one to go with all my other stuff, I could do alot with two big winches.

Re: 69 Wrecker on SC CL

Well I would have looked MIGHTY hard at that one if it was up on CL two weeks ago. As it was I bought my 69 in Myrtle Beach. Columbia would have been a little shorter of a drive.

I really needed a proper truck box though so I would not have pulled the trigger on it. It is in much better hands with someone who will keep it as a tow truck.

It does appear that way with no cab lights and the SRW front end.

Re: 69 Wrecker on SC CL

A lot of guys will put 3/4 Ton Wheels on the Front End of their 1-Tons. They will fit fine and look pretty good too, although I personally don't like it that way. Also Cab Lights were not standard on a 1-Ton. Some will have them and some won't. The real way to tell would be by the VIN Number and/or the GVW rating.

Thumbs up Re: 69 Wrecker on SC CL

That sure does look like a good deal but the pics are small and not much description so who knows.

Nice to see one all together! I'm used to mine that is in pieces.

That looks like it might even have a wreck master set up on it.

Re: 69 Wrecker on SC CL

That does look like a Wreckmaster. The rear looks like a later wider rear and from '69-on dual rear C/30s came with clearance lamps. The truck isn't bad.

Although I really like Clearance Lamps, I've got a '64, '65, '68 and a '72 all C-30's and all with no Factory Clearance Lamps (Cab Lamps), besides the many more I see on the road.

???
