Help me ID this tire size and wheel

I've been looking at putting 255/85R16s on my truck when I save up enough money but, I'm pretty limited with options on tire brands. I saw this truck posted on the board and it looks like this size would look pretty good.

If anyone could ID the tire size, I would greatly appreciate it or, give me some better suggestions besides 255/85R16. I want tall and narrow but, not as tall as the 35" tires that I have on it now.

You're not getting any replies, so I'll give it a shot. But obviously don't take my word as gospel.

The rims look big, so I'm thinking they're 17 inch. But the rest, I think isn't too far off from your 255/85R16 suggestion. I'm thinking those are somewhere around 32 or 33 inch tires, and there are several metric sizes in that basic size range. 255/85R16 would translate to a 33 inch tire, about 10 inches wide.

If you're dead-set on matching that exact, with a 17 inch rim, then a 255/75R17 would be 32 inch tall, 10 inch wide and is a real common size. 255/80R17 would be 33 inches tall, but much less common. Tirerack.com lists 12 models for 255/75R17, but only one model for 255/80R17 (but it's a really nice truck tire with aggressive lugs, much like the one pictured)

It really looks like a 17 inch rim, not a 16.

Looks like these tires aren't that much cheaper than the 255/85 16s that I was looking at.

Now, do I put 16"s or 17"s on it....Decisions, decisions.

I like the 255/85-16's on my 86 CUCV. Stock wheels.

Looks like either a 295 or 305/70/17 cooper discover stt. And the wheels are most likely Mickey Thompson classic 2's

I'm gonna go with 33x12.5 on a 17" rim, or 305/70R17 how ever you like it, personally, tire sizes expressed in inches that actually give the correct width and height, not just ratios, and not in millimeters, is much easier for me, but who am i.....
