I wonder how he did that and ended up with 6-lugs? All GM 1/2t disc brakes are 5-lug. That's when they changed from 6 to 5 lugs. Too much stuff figured the previous owner used an aftermarket kit, like I did.

Re: Factory 2 tone paint job's

Its a 307 4 speed pretty dirty in this shot it was the day after I bought it
I didn't do to much to it in the summer just drove it really, spent more cash on my other toy ( 69 cutlass ) I was thinking of doing some body work and paint next summer what do you guys think should I keep the side fuel doors ( no tanks ) on the box or cover them up? Where do you find parts in your neck of the woods in the great white north?

I realize that. Actually,it's a 3/4t truck that had the rear axle and front knuckles/spindles swapped to 1/2t. Your trick originally came with 8 lug hubs and drum brakes a around. up through '70 is was 10 series 6 lug drum brakes and 20-30 series 8 lug drum brakes (which is what your truck was). In '71 they went to 10 series 5 lug w/front disc brakes and 20-30 series stayed 8 lug but got front disc brakes. There were no 2wd GM trucks ever made with 6 lug disc brakes. There is an aftermarket kit to convert pre-71 2wd trucks with 6 lug drum brakes to 6 lug disc brakes up front. So,either your previous owner knows a trick I don't know or he actually used the conversion kit.

What do you think about the fuel doors on the box should I keep them when I paint it or cover them up?

Re: Factory 2 tone paint job's

There's a lot to know, but spend enough time here and you too may just become another 67-72 nerd . If it was my truck I'd lose the fuel doors since they will not be used anymore. I have the same doors on my '72 K2500,but with the tanks. They don't bother me like they do some because to me they were a common and acceptable add-on back in the day, especially on western trucks. But,I may delete my tanks and when I do I will lose the fuel doors. With ethanol I don't dare fill the auxiliary tanks. It's enough of a problem keeping good gas in one tank. I just don't run long enough trips for it to matter. I kinda like hopping out of the truck every couple hours these days anyway.
